The ultimate place for 80's Soul Funk & Boogie
Brandi Wells

B. Wells (1955-2003), whose real name is Marguerite Pinder, was a Philadelphia soul singer. She was part of several bands (Major Harris, Philly cream, Breeze just to name a few) during the 70’s as a backing vocalist.

By the early 80’s she then joined the WMOT (We Men Of Talent) label and got her first great deal by signing her debut LP titled “Watch Out” in ’81 from which two tracks charted well and got both radio and club airplay: “What Goes Around Comes Around” and off course “Watch Out“.

She had a second album “21st Century Fox“in ’85 on OMNI Records , an Atlantic sublabel. This one was still soulful but not as successful as the first one and unfortunately Brandi couldn’t reach the fame she definitely deserved…
