Biography

The band was formed in 1974 in Memphis, Tennessee by Amadee Castenell
Relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana, where they initially recorded for Allen Toussaint as a studio backing band.
The band released 8 albums between 1975 and 1982.
Best known for their politically heavy and many-times-sampled single “Action Speaks Louder Than Words”.
Other hits include “Girl Callin'”, “Say Won’t Cha”, “I’m Your Radio” and “Blue Jeans”.

80’s Boogie lovers will mainly remember the band for their excellent 1982 LP “Friction”.

Chocolate Milk Disbanded in 1983.
